Il convegno AIUCD 2019 si terrà nella città di Udine, ospitato dal Dipartimento di Studi umanistici e del Patrimonio culturale (DIUM) dell’Università degli Studi di Udine.
ll tema principale del convegno è Didattica e ricerca al tempo delle Digital Humanities. Il convegno vuole aprire una riflessione sulle nuove possibilità rappresentate dal digitale per la didattica e la ricerca scientifica: come queste cambieranno l’insegnamento delle materie umanistiche? Quale contributo può dare la critica culturale di taglio umanistico alla rivoluzione digitale? Quale relazione con il piano di digitalizzazione dell’Università lanciato dal Ministero? Si intende però riflettere anche sulle Digital Humanities come nuovo ambito disciplinare, facendo emergere nuovi interrogativi: come formare la nuova figura del digital humanist? Quali saperi sono chiamati a definire le Digital Humanities come ambito di studio, di ricerca e di formazione? Come riconoscere, classificare, descrivere e valutare la ricerca nel settore delle Digital Humanities?

AIUCD2019, the yearly conference of AIUCD (Associazione per l’Informatica Umanistica e la Cultura Digitale), will be held in Udine, Italy, from the 23th to the 25th January 2019. The hosting institution is the Dipartimento di Studi umanistici e del Patrimonio culturale (DIUM) of the Università degli Studi di Udine.
The main topic of the AIUCD 2019 Conference is Pedagogy, teaching, and research in the age of Digital Humanities. The conference aims at reflecting on the new possibilities that the digital yields for pedagogy, teaching, and scholarly research: how will these transform teaching in the humanities? What contributions can humanistic cultural critique offer to the digital revolution? What is the connection with the digitization plan for Universities outlined by the Ministry? It also concerns the Digital Humanities as a new discipline, and this brings forward further considerations: how can the new professional figure of the digital humanist be developed? Which areas of knowledge define the Digital Humanities as a subject of study, research, and teaching? How can we recognise, classify, describe, and evaluate research efforts in the Digital Humanities?
